Colour therapy: Our Colour Pallete

The Colour Therapy Guide

Colour is not only decoration, it is a language, and each shade has an energy and vibration.
The Maya Gandaia colours are rooted in the chakra system of the body’s energy centres, and the alchemical tradition of transformation through colour and matter. The 11 colours we work with each have their own frequency, medicine, and invitation.

HOME

· Root Chakra ·

MULADHARA · RED

HOME is the colour of the root chakra, at the base of the spine, and governs our sense of safety, belonging, and physical presence in the world. When this centre is open and alive, we feel grounded, secure, and at home in our own selves. When it is depleted, we may feel unmoored, anxious, and unable to land. To wear HOME is to come home to yourself, your body, and your right to take up space.
Wear HOME when you want to connect to the ground beneath you… when anxiety is pulling you out of your body, or when you want to embody your space.

SACRED

· Sacral Chakra·

SVADHISTHANA· ORANGE

SACRED lives in the pelvic bowl… the seat of creativity, pleasure, sensuality, and the capacity to feel. The sacral chakra governs how we relate to our own desires, our creative impulse, and our connection to others. When it is full, we create freely, feel deeply, and move through the world with ease. When it is depleted, we feel blocked, numb, or disconnected from joy.
Orange is the colour of warmth in motion… of the place where fire meets earth, where the body becomes something more than function. To wear SACRED is to honour the creative intelligence that lives in your pelvis.
Wear SACRED when you are in a creative practice… when you want to reconnect with pleasure, when you want to connect to the creative power within.

CREATE

· Navel Chakra·

MANIPURA· YELLOW

CREATE is the colour of personal power: the solar plexus, just above the navel. It is the seat of will, confidence, and the capacity to act in the world. When this centre is alive, we know what we want and we move towards it. When it is depleted, we shrink, defer, and struggle to trust our own knowing.
To wear CREATE is to step into your own authority, to trust the intelligence of your action.
Wear CREATE when you need courage… when you are stepping into something new, when you want to connect to your intuition, or when the inner critic feels louder than the inner wisdom.

HEART

· Heart Chakra·

ANAHATA· GREEN

HEART is the bridge… between the lower three chakras rooted in the physical world and the upper three reaching toward the infinite. The heart chakra governs love, compassion, grief, and the capacity to both give and receive. When it is open, we love without losing ourselves. When it is closed, we protect ourselves from the very connection we are longing for.
Green is the colour of growth, of living things, of the world renewing itself season after season. To wear HEART is to say yes to being alive and open: to receiving life.
Wear HEART when you are moving through grief… when you want to soften and receive, when compassion for yourself or others feels like the medicine, and to attract love.

SING

· Throat Chakra·

VISHUDDHA · BLUE

SING is the colour of expression… of the throat, the voice, the capacity to speak what is true. The throat chakra governs how we communicate with others and how honestly we communicate with ourselves. When it is open, we speak clearly and are heard. When it is blocked, we swallow what needs saying, or say what we do not mean.
Blue is the colour of depth and sky and the vast space in which sound travels. To wear SING is to give yourself permission to be heard… to know that what you carry is worth expressing.
Wear SING when you have something to say… when you are preparing to speak, perform, or create, when your voice has felt small, when you are ready to be heard on your own terms.

FLY

· Brow Chakra·

AJNA · INDIGO

FLY is the colour of inner knowing… the third eye, between the brows, is the seat of intuition, vision, and the capacity to see beyond what is immediately in front of us. When this centre is alive, we trust what we know without needing to explain it. When it is depleted, we become lost in overthinking, cut off from our own deeper perception.
Indigo is the deepest of the visible spectrum before we reach the invisible… it sits at the threshold of what can be seen and what can only be felt. To wear FLY is to trust your inner wisdom over the noise of the world.
Wear FLY when you need clarity… when a decision requires your deepest knowing rather than your most logical mind, when you are ready to trust what you already sense is true.

GODDXX

· Crown Chakra·

SAHASRARA · VIOLET

GODDXX is the colour of sovereignty… the crown chakra at the top of the head is the place where the personal meets the infinite, where we remember that we are both fully human and something much larger. When this centre is open, we carry a quality of presence that others feel without being able to name it. When it is closed, we feel cut off from meaning, from purpose, from the larger story we are part of.
Violet holds both the warmth of red and the cool of blue… it is the colour of transformation complete, of the self that has been through something and emerged more whole. To wear GODDXX is to claim your full sovereign presence.
Wear GODDXX when you are stepping into your full power… when ceremony is called for, when you want to remind yourself and the world of the magnitude of who you are.

GLOW

· Silver · Luna · The Body’s Light

THE SILVER THREAD

GLOW sits outside the chakra spectrum… it is the colour of the moon, of silver, of the light the body emits when it is tended rather than depleted. In alchemical tradition, silver is the metal of the moon, of the Albedo stage: the purification when luminous clarity emerges.
Silver has been known across cultures and centuries as a protective, purifying, antimicrobial material. At Maya Gandaia, GLOW is also our signature fabric: silver-threaded GLOW material is naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial, protecting the body’s own delicate ecosystem from the first layer outward.
Wear GLOW when you want protection, to boost your immune system or to look after your most intimate parts with love and care.

ROOKSANA

· Rose · Rubedo · The Alchemical Flowering

THE SACRED ROSE

ROOKSANA is the colour of the alchemical Rubedo… the reddening, the stage in the great work where the transformation flowers into its fullness.
In alchemy, red is the colour of the Prima Materia… the raw, unformed substance from which all transformation begins.

In Rosa Mystica tradition, the rose holds both the wound and the beauty together — the thorns and the bloom as one inseparable thing. To wear this colour is to hold that same wholeness in yourself.
Rose sits closest to the skin in tone… it is the colour of the body’s own warmth, of the dawn, of something tender that is also entirely strong. In Maya Gandaia, ROOKSANA is also a fabric story, rose cellulose fibre, naturally pink, breathable, antibacterial, and completely environmental.
Wear ROOKSANA when you are in a tender season… when you want to blossom and bloom, when self-love is the practice, or the body needs softness.

LUNA

· White · Albedo · Luminous Purification·

THE MOON

LUNA is the colour of Albedo… in alchemical tradition, this stage is the moment after the darkness. This is the dawning stage, the moment when the work begins to show its magic. To wear LUNA is to step into your own authority, to trust the intelligence of your intuition. The moon governs this stage: reflective, cyclical, deeply intuitive.
White in colour therapy is associated with clarity, new beginnings, and spaciousness. To wear LUNA is to arrive clean, open, and present.
Wear LUNA when you are beginning something, when clarity is what you are calling in, and when you want to meet the world with innocence.

MAYA

· Black · Lead · Sacred Space

THE INFINITE

MAYA is the colour of the Lead in alchemy. The blackening is not the ending, but the Prima Materia: the raw substance from which all transformation emerges. It is the fertile dark of the soil, the space before creation, the womb of all possibility. In Sanskrit, Maya means the veil between worlds… the mystery that conceals, and the intelligence that reveals.
Black in colour therapy holds, contains, and protects. It is the colour of depth, of the unknown, of the vast space that holds everything else. To wear MAYA is to hold the infinite within yourself.
Wear MAYA when you are moving through transformation.
